Every sofa is built up in layers, the way a proper sofa should be. An 18 mm plywood frame, braced with glued-and-screwed solid-timber beams, carries curved birch slats and a 4 mm EPDM sheet that keeps the whole thing silent. Above that sits a 100 mm pocket-spring layer — individually pocketed coils that move with you and hold you evenly — then 40 kg/m³ high-resilience foam that keeps its shape where cheaper foam goes flat, finished with a soft polyester wrap.
